Three great acts to entertain us this Thursday...
Mark Comstock is a singer-songwriter from the south bay.
His blues inflected vocals and wry lyrics have made him a popular performer on both sides of the Carquinez Straights. As to his background, rumors abound, but most probably have no basis in fact.
Scott Shewbridge is a singer and guitar player known for his love of a wide range of musical styles. For this show he will perform many of his personal “Americana” favorites, with selections from Paul Simon, Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys, Steely Dan, Buck Owens, Neil Young, John Prine, Iggy Pop/David Bowie, Chicago, the Ink Spots, and Thelonius Monk. Cowboy, punky, poppy, folky, jazz anyone?
Pam Callen and Jim Wiant are “The Pam and Jim Show,” and what a show they put on! They present a repertoire of Americana covers from Dylan to Hank Williams. The charisma between these two is infectious. Pam puts a smile on your face even when they are playing a sad John Prine song. Their strong harmonies and tight guitar work will have you clapping your hands and singing along.
